Evening without Angels was presented as part of Glasshouse ArtLifeLab's 'Rear Window’ performance series. The living room window of the Lab served as a frame for the performance as well as a surface separating audience and performer, lending a film-like experience of the event.

 

The series was created to challenge both audience and performer—exposing participants to the "social contagion" of acting as voyeurs/spectacle in an attempt to explore the very act of looking and being looked at once isolated from the gallery/theater setting and planted in the everyday realm.
